Project Overview: Using Expert Planning to Transform Childhood Homes into Luxury Living

Using Expert Planning to Transform Childhood Homes into Luxury Living

Project Overview

This ambitious project involved the demolition of two existing semi-detached houses, one of which was a valued childhood home, to make way for an exclusive development of nine luxury apartments. The site includes a secure underground car park with an automated car lift.

With the project nearing completion, final works are set to wrap up by the end of January. Our role in the project has been imperative, focussing on monthly valuations, managing extensions of time, and navigating planning and construction challenges to keep the development on track.

Key Challenges & Solutions

Timeline & Cost Management

With a high-end project like this, delays can impact both costs and market positioning. Our team has provided monthly valuations to track financial progress, identify risks early, and ensure efficient allocation of time and resources. We supported the developer in securing an extension of time, ensuring that the projects final quality was not compromised by rushed deadlines.

Flood Risk Mitigation

The inclusion of an underground car park presented challenges, particularly regarding potential flood risks. The design team conducted comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring that proper drainage and mitigation measures were implemented to protect the long-term value of the structure.

This project is a testament to our strategic cost management and expert planning.
